Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect what we need to run BatchBrew and nothing more. We don't sell your data, we don't show you ads, and we don't share your information with third parties for marketing. Your materials, recipes, and production data belong to you.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address, display name, and password (encrypted — we never see it in plain text).
• App data: the materials, products, recipes, production logs, and stock adjustments you create in BatchBrew. This is your data and exists solely to make the app work for you.
• Payment information: if you upgrade to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription but never see or store your card details.
• Usage data: basic analytics (page views, feature usage) to help us improve BatchBrew. This data is aggregated and not linked to your identity.

How we store your data

Your data is stored securely in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is controlled by row-level security policies — you can only see your own data.

How we use your data

• To provide and maintain BatchBrew
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To send you important account emails (password resets, billing)
• To improve the product based on aggregated usage patterns

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone except as needed to run the service (Supabase for hosting, Stripe for payments, Vercel for delivery).

Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies in two categories:

• Essential cookies:required for authentication (keeping you logged in) and basic site functionality. These are always on and don't require consent.
• Statistics cookies:set by Google Analytics and Hotjar so we can understand how the site is used and improve it. These are only loaded if you accept the “Statistics” category in our cookie banner.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not share usage data with advertising networks.

Your rights

You can:

• Access your data:everything you've entered is visible in the app. Production history can be exported as CSV.
• Update your data: edit or delete any material, product, or recipe at any time.
• Delete your account: you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page. Any active subscription will be cancelled automatically.
• Export your data: you can export your production history from the app.

Third-party services

• Supabase: database hosting and authentication.
• Stripe: payment processing.
• Vercel: application hosting.
• Google Analytics (GA4): aggregated usage analytics. Collects anonymised IP, device and browser information, pages visited, and basic interaction events. Loaded only with your consent. Legal basis: consent. Google's privacy policy.
• Hotjar: session recordings and heatmaps to understand UX issues. Anonymises personal data by default. Loaded only with your consent. Legal basis: consent. Hotjar's privacy policy.
• Cookiebot: manages your cookie preferences and records your consent choices.

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data required for each service to function. You can withdraw consent for analytics services at any time through the cookie banner.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or with a notice in the app. Minor wording changes won't trigger a notification.
